Leslie Melim gives a lecture on how national parks are more than just a tourist attraction and that each park holds insight into the past landforms that once occupied the space. Melim also spoke of her research on pool fingers and findings of microbrial clay while with her research team, the Subsurface Life in Mineral Environment (SLIME), continues to study these microbes in the Carlsbad Cavern National Park in New Mexico
