As of Tuesday, October 11, Macomb’s first female City Administrator, Sue McLaughlin, and the City of Macomb agreed to “separate their contractual employment relationship” according to a press release from the Mayor’s office.

Macomb is now on the search for a replacement, and the release states that the agreement to separate was “mutual.”

“The City of Macomb staff and administration wish Sue well in her future endeavors,” reads the release.

McLaughlin has been serving in her position since the beginning of March, after former City Administrator Dean Torreson served for the last time at the end of February. McLaughlin accepted the position in January.

The release also states that the agreement terms will be voted on at Monday’s City Council meeting. More information to come as this story develops.
